ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Mayfield Community Church is a growing, town-centred, evangelical church of 200 people covering all ages.
Our vision is to reach deeper into our community through Christian volunteers and to provide them with
strong teaching and pastoral support
“to prepare God’s people for works of service”.
The Associate Pastor will:
· Pastor the voluntary leaders of our strands of youth work
· Support the Senior Pastor in MCC’s all-age teaching programme
· Initiate, support and/or develop practical expressions of Christianity in Harrogate
· Have the potential to develop into a senior pastor’s role.
Qualities that are required
· A strong Christian faith
· A passion for serving God and His people in a way that is relevant to the community and contemporary culture
· Motivational and mentoring skills
· Good public and interpersonal communication abilities
· Openness to learning
· Awareness of cultural shifts in society
The salary will be circa £25,000 plus pension contributions
and will reflect the successful applicant’s skills and experience.
