Tots and Toys

My name is Jane Schofield and after leaving school studied Nursery Nursing. (N.N.E.B) Imagining a career working with children only to have a difficult placement with a family where I not only looked after the children but the house also.

Convinced that I’d made a big mistake was encouraged to apply for nursing training. After completing this I worked in Paediatrics. I went onto to do general and surgical placements before starting my own family. I continued to nurse as my family grew choosing paediatrics again.

After a break, I returned to nursing once my children started secondary school and have only recently left.

At the moment I am part of a Christian charity called CAP, who help people struggling with debt related issues.

Tots and Toys connects me with the local community as my interest is with families who are starting out and all the challenges that this brings.

We run term time only and have no waiting list.

There is no fee to attend, we just ask for a donation to cover running costs as we provide refreshments and like to celebrate birthdays with a small gift.

Our hope at Tots is that everyone feels accepted and welcomed. A place where friendships are made and that children look forward to coming.
