Sunday Morning Groups for
Children and Young People
Children and young people are given the opportunity to meet in a range of age-specific groups on Sunday mornings.  These are led by volunteer workers who are committed church members and have been approved by the church’s child protection policy. A number of young people also help out in these groups.
Children up to 11 years old
All Sunday morning groups for children up to the age of 11 begin at about 10.10am after the Birthday Box slot in the service. The Creche rooms can be found by following the signs above the door at the front of the church. Children aged 3 and up meet in the foyer at the back of the church and are taken to their groups by their leaders.
Creches led by Alethea Fry.
Baby Crèche is for children from birth to approximately one year old.  A team of dedicated parents and helpers will take care of your baby while you’re upstairs in the service. A pager system is used to discreetly call you should your baby cry inconsolably.
Toddler Crèche is for slightly older children, around one to three years old, who require more stimulation and space to run around.  Although the focus is very much on play, the leaders incorporate a short Bible story, activity and singing.
Kidzchurch
From age 3 to 11 (the end of school year 6) the children can attend KidzChurch, which is divided into three separate age groups; Pebbles, Gems and Rocks. Each of these groups provides a mixture of age-related learning, worship and activities. Mark and Margaret are supported by a large team of volunteers who take turns to prepare and teach each week.

Pebbles led by Margaret Taylor
For ages 3 to school year Reception
This younger group enjoy play-based learning around a half termly theme. The Pebbles room has a variety of play areas such as role play, sand, painting, play dough and ‘cut and stick’. Children spend a short time listening to a Bible story. They are also given an opportunity to do an activity specific to the story theme that week.

Gems  & Rocks led by Mark Ferguson
The middle group, Gems (Years 1-3) and top group, Rocks (Years 4-6) follow a programme that goes right through the Bible in chronological order over three years.  Their activities include crafts, games, quizzes, discussion and prayer to support the Bible story they hear each week.
Young People in Years 7 to 9
Reaction led by Lois Addy
Reaction meets each Sunday morning during term time after the worship part of the service – a reminder is displayed on the screen when it is time for the young people to leave.  The Reaction room is found by going through the door at the front of the church and following the signs.
The group discuss relevant issues and topics and study Bible passages in a relaxed environment appropriate to their age.
